Monday - Rock The Red (wear all red day)

Thursday - Team Up Against Drugs (wear your favorite sports team apparel)

LEAPs schedule for Week of October 22nd through the 26th:

Monday & Wednesday= K-2 students

Tuesday & Thursday = 3rd - 6th grade students and Student Council

There will not be LEAPs on Friday, October 26th

Girls on the Go

 

Girls on the Go will meet on Wednesday until 4:30

Kindergarten Through 2nd Grade

Thursday evening beginning at 5:30, there will be a Costume Ball for grades K-2nd grade.

Students may come dressed in their costumes for some indoor treats and games.

Costumes may not include weapons (real or fake) of any kind, witches, devils, or blood (real or fake).  The principal has the discretion of appropriate costumes. Make them fun and creative.

Cost is $5.00 per child and includes a slice of pizza and a drink.
Please enter and sign your child in at the gym entrance. Stay and enjoy the fun or come back and pick your child up at 7:00 pm
Children must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian.

Wednesday, October 31st - School-wide dress-up day!

Every child will receive a yellow t-shirt and should dress up like a minion. Some teachers and staff will be dressed as the "Despicable Me" characters and we want all students and the rest of the staff to be minions. 

Yellow T-shirts will be given to students on the morning of the 31st.  We will have a picture taken with all of us in it. It should be a fun day for all!
blood drive

RCE will host a blood drive on November 19th from 9:00 am - 4: 00 pm.

This blood drive is through Blood Assurance. All blood collected stays in our area.

The Grinch Movie

On November 20th, the whole school will go to Abingdon Cinemall to see the new Grinch movie.

supper with Santa
The Christmas Festival that was scheduled for Nov. 19th has been canceled.
 
Instead of a festival, we will be having a "Supper with Santa" on December 7th from 5-7pm.  
More information to come.

The week of December 17th-19th, PTO will have an   Elf  Shoppe    open where students can purchase gifts for their families for Christmas.

Influenza vaccinations will be provided at schools

The Johnson County Health Department and the Johnson County School System have partnered to provide seasonal influenza (flu) vaccinations at your child's school. If your child is uninsured, there is no cost to you for the flu vaccine. If your child is covered by insurance, including TennCare and private insurance, the County Health Department will file a claim with the insurance plan and receive reimbursement directly from the insurance plan.

Family Access Parent Portal

Parent involvement is crucial to academic success no matter how old your child is. The Skyward Family Access Parent Portal is a tool for parents to stay informed and engaged in their child's education. The Parent Portal gives parents and guardians access to their child's attendance, grades, and missing assignments. Weekly progress reports are available as well.

New State Required Attendance Law In Effect

This newly passed law provides revisions and updates regrading school attendance, truancy, and discipline.
