Johnson County Schools Introduces "Purposity"

FRC Logo

The Johnson County School System Family Resource Center is always trying to find resources to help our students and families in order to meet their basic needs.  Students learn better and learn more when their basic needs are met.  A new resource is Purposity.  Purposity is a non-profit app that allows you and community members to meet the critical, physical needs of our students.

Please consider joining the Purposity community by downloading the Purposity app and following Johnson County Schools.  This app allows our counselors, administrators, and myself to make small requests on behalf of students and families.  Those requests are filled by donors within the community that follow the Purposity organization.  Purposity does the work, you just follow the school district and watch for requests.  The school administrators, counselors, and the FRC director will make a request on Purposity when a need arises.  The need will be seen by those following Johnson County Schools on Purposity.  The request can be filled by any of the followers.  We need at least 200 followers by March 1 in order to get this program started.  Please consider joining the community to help us help our kids!

We would also like to encourage you to share Purposity with your friends and through your social media accounts.  The more followers that we have, the more needs we can meet.

Please feel free to contact Edna Miller, FRC Director, at 727-2640 or if you have any questions.
