JOCO Online School

*You are Committed for a Semester*

Please note that if you register your child for JOCO Online School, you are making a commitment for the entire semester. Parents are required to come by Johnson County Schools Central Office and sign the JOCO Online Agreement before a student can be admitted to the program. This is due to the fact that once your child is registered, JOCO Online hires a teacher for the entire semester. By continuing, you understand and agree that enrolling the JOCO Online School is a semester long commitment and that you will not be permitted to pull your child out before the end of the semester.

Johnson County Schools WILL NOT  provide a device for students that register in the JOCO Online program. The parent will need to provide a desktop or laptop that supports the following:

  • Google Chrome (latest 2 versions)
  • Mozilla Firefox (latest 2 versions)
  • Apple Safari (latest 2 versions)
  • Microsoft Edge (latest 2 versions)

Although JOCO Online regularly tests our education management system, many mobile devices may not be fully compatible with third-party curriculum platforms that are accessed through JOCO Online. These include, but are not limited to, Chromebooks, iPads, iPods, Kindles, Android tablets and Android phones.

Reliable internet access will be necessary for your student. Broadband connection is required. If you have a satellite connection, you may experience performance issues depending on outside weather conditions and latency.

**By continuing, you understand that Johnson County Schools will not provide a device for my student(s) and I have access to a reliable internet connection

Brick and Mortar Registration

Johnson County Schools require that each child have registration forms that need to be filled out so that their information can be entered into the Skyward database. Skyward is the information system that each school in Johnson County uses to track attendance and other pertinent information.

**By continuing, you understand that I am required to the brick and mortar school that my child would be attending if he or she were in person to fill out registration paperwork for the Johnson County School System before or by January 14, 2022.

On occasion, your child's teacher may try to make contact via email, phone call or announcements through the online platform. Please make sure that you regularly check your email and phone messages and promptly return any messages to your child's teacher as soon as possible.

JOCO Online Schools will follow the 2021-2022 school Calendar. The Calendar can be found here.

Students will be tested at the end of the school year. Students will be required to report to the brick and mortar school they would have attended for end of year testing.
